AP ~ Advanced Placement Program

AP ~ Advanced Placement Program

  • AP classes are high school courses that can earn college credit by passing the AP Exam in May
  • Classes are offered in sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school
  • AP classes are rigorous and have high expectations]
  • AP Exams are always in the first two weeks of May
  • All students enrolled in an AP course must also register for the AP Exam in August
  • The AP exam fee is paid by the Salinas Union High School District

AP Curriculum:
  • AP class curriculum is set by the College Board, not by this school or any teacher.
  • AP students are expected to be responsible and committed to a course the entire school year
  • AP classes move at a faster rate and summer work is typically assigned by the AP Teacher

All AP exam deadlines are due November 15 every year. Any changes to AP exams have a fee attached that will be placed on a student's account.
