What do I need to play sports?

  1.  Be Eligible
    1. Earn a 2.0 GPA or better in the last grading period
    2. Have no more than one F on the last official grading period
    3. Have no more than one Unsatisfactory (UN) for citizenship on the last official grading period
    4. Incoming 9th graders and students new to RSJ must provide a copy of grades from Semester 2/QTR4 from the 2024-2025 school year to matthew.briney@salinasuhsd.org
  2. Register on athleticclearance.com 
    1.  New athletes will need to create an account.

  3. Physical form signed by a Doctor.
    1. Upload the signed physical form to your athleticclearance.com account 
    2. Use this physical form: https://bit.ly/RSJphysicalform
    3. Physicals are valid for one year from the day of signing
    4. You can get a physical on Aug 7 for $20 in the RSJ Main Gym from 4:00-5:00 PM. Limited space is available on a first-come, first-served bases
  4. Take a concussion baseline test (every two years)
    1. Email Mr. Briney for the link/directions matthew.briney@salinasuhsd.org 
  5. Attend a virtual Sports Contract Information Meeting (one time in your high school career)
