English Language Advisory Committee

An English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a school-level committee in California public schools that advises the principal and staff on programs and services for English learners.

The main purpose of an ELAC is to ensure that the unique needs of English learners are considered in school planning and decision-making. These committees are a way to give parents of English learners a voice in their children's education.
